What Could Happen with Fortnite Season 10

The last 9 seasons of Fortnite have been a roller coaster with the whole storyline happening, starting in season 3, and the game changing so much, from new weapons to new locations each season. While the last few seasons have become pretty predictable with the events which were going to happen, season 9 was the official end of Fortnite’s first and current story line, meaning that anything could theoretically happen. So with the end of the Fortnite World cup that just happened, what will we see in the next coming days?

Figuring out what will happen next season is definitely a lot harder due to the game giving no clues. But luckily for us, Epic games did give us one clue about what is to come outside of the game. On Instagram and all of their other social media platforms, they posted a photo of Dusty Divot with a large letter “X” in the background, and with the caption, “Think back.” But what could this mean.

Well with Dusty Depot being the first POI in Fortnite to be destroyed, turning into Dusty Divot, and one of the most iconic original location in the game, it seems clear that Dusty Depot is coming back to Fortnite. While this is the only thing that is guaranteed, there are a few questions still left to be answered, specifically: what else is going to happen and how will it happen.

Lets start with how it is going to happen. For those who did not see the Monster vs Robot event that happened last week, during the fight, the robot stuck its hand inside of the vault and pulled out an orb. That orb is now sitting above Loot Lake, and this is

Lets start with how it is going to happen. For those who did not see the Monster vs Robot event that happened last week, during the fight, the robot stuck its hand inside of the vault and pulled out an orb. That orb is now sitting above Loot Lake, and this is where the secret to the next season lies.

As those who have seen many popular movies about space such as Interstellar know, worm holes are spheres in space. So it is likely that for Season X, we will be taken back in time, through that wormhole, and Fortnite will be like it was in the beginning.

There is more evidence for this than just the fact that there is a wormhole type object and a poster. Recently, Epic Games has been bringing back old weapons into Fortnite that have been vaulted for a long time, most importantly: the bolt action sniper and the semi-auto sniper.

Now that we have figured out how we are going to go back into the past for season 10, we have to figure out what else will happen. Well, we do have have a few more clues that show that the past may not be what it once was, as in its two most recent teasers, Epic has had the captions, “Think forward,” and “Twist time.” The two posters also showed a few things we have and have not seen before, such as the Drift skin and the Visitor’s logo which we have seen, and a new skin along with a silhouette of a robot which we have not seen.

So what does this mean for Season X of Fortnite? Well the teaser of Dusty Depot means that it is likely that the map will go back to how it was in the earlier seasons of the game. However, the teaser of the robot and the new skin likely means that the game will be more like Season 4 or 5, as the Drift skin and the Visitor’s logo were both teased as well. This also is similar to Season 5’s theme which was “Worlds Collide.” So while we may see the return of Greasy Grove and the removal of Neo Tilted, rifts may be once again scattered around the map. But to be sure, we will have to wait until August first.
